SCAM REMINDER: please share with all home buyers. They will very likely receive one of these in the mail about two weeks after the home purchase. It is NOT a worthwhile or legitimate service. It is a useless solicitation to give someone “a copy of their deed” masked as something the homebuyer is “required to do”.
The closing attorney will be sending the original deed to the buyer within a reasonable time (usually a month or less after it makes it’s way through recording and back). And all of the information and documents these “deed services” provide is available online for free.
